Laser treatment is the newly established and efficient solution for toenail fungus cure. The current medication available for toenail fungus is in the form of oral fungal pills and even certain topical ointments. Their effectiveness is not very much evident as the fungus can only be killed in 50% of the cases with oral medications and creams are effective only in 10% of the cases as they come in various complex forms and develop resistance each time. Laser beams are directed on to the infected toenail and the beam vaporized the fungus without causing any harm to the external skin or the toe. The treatment is painless and safe and will not take over 10 minutes per infected toe. There has been no side effects reported so far and according to studies 90 % of the cases have been successful. The uninfected toenail will be back in a year if there is a healthy bed for the toenail to grow.
